Overview:
The Centre of Excellence for Research in Computational Intelligence and Applications (CERCIA) is an industry-facing centre aimed at taking the cutting edge research in CI being carried out in universities across the UK and Europe (and especially at Birmingham University) and targeting it at real-world problems faced by businesses within the West Midlands Technology Zone (as defined by Advantage West Midlands). The website has to act as a public face to the Centre, providing information on their activities (in lay-terms), PR resources, and contact information. The site is cross platform, standards compliant (including the AAA accessibility standards requirements for a public/academic body) and eye-catching and yet easy to maintain and highly automated behind the scenes.
