Overview:
As a mostly 'virtual' forum, spread across three universities, the ESRC funded Genomics Policy and Research Forum relies on it's website as it's main presence. As a PR, news and online resource focus, the site needed to be easily updated by non-technical staff on a daily basis while still conforming to all w3c standards, including the AAA accessibility standard. Integrating the site with Macromedia Contribute allows for easy updates to site information, in a controlled manner, without the need to build and support an unwieldily Content Management System or deploy dedicated servers while server-side php code automates the process of building the menu structure, removing the need for manual updates as the site structure evolves over time.
